Customer Facing Screen

The Customer Facing Screen feature allows customers to view their order details, payment methods, and receipt information in real time. This feature enhances transparency during the checkout process and provides a modern, interactive experience for customers. Let’s break it down:


Overview of the UI

  • Welcome Screen:
    • A visually appealing welcome screen displays when the system is idle, featuring brand logos and images to create an inviting environment.
  • Cart Details:
    • Customers can see a list of their ordered items on the right side of the screen.
    • Each item in the cart is displayed with:
      • Item name
      • Quantity
      • Price per item
    • Subtotals, discounts, taxes, and total amounts are clearly shown at the bottom, so customers know exactly what they are paying for.

Customer Checkout Process

  1. Itemized Cart View:

    • Customers can view the item breakdown with a description and price for each product.
    • Any modifications or changes are updated in real time.
    • A running total is displayed, which adjusts automatically based on changes to the order.
  2. Payment Method Selection:

    • During checkout, the screen shows the available payment methods:
      • Cash
      • Card
      • Split Payment
      • Payment Link
    • The customer chooses the desired payment method, and the system updates the interface to reflect their selection.
  3. Split Payments:

    • If the customer chooses Split Payment, they can divide the bill between different payment methods (e.g., part cash, part card).
    • The system displays how much is paid by each method, and any remaining amount is clearly shown.
  4. Final Confirmation:

    • After entering payment details, the system displays a confirmation screen showing remaining balance, total due, paid amount, and change if applicable.
    • Once payment is successfully processed, the system shows a Payment Success screen, signaling the end of the transaction.
