Product Scanning

Overview

The Point of Sale (POS) system is designed for efficient transaction management through both barcode scanning and manual product entry options.

1. Product Scanning Feature:

  • In the Scan Mode view, products are added to the cart by scanning their barcode.
  • Each scan immediately adds the corresponding product to the list on the right.
  • The system automatically calculates the total based on the scanned items, as well as any applicable VAT and discounts.
  • Users can adjust the quantity using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons next to each item.
  • The total due is updated in real-time as products are scanned or modified.

2. Manual Product Entry:

  • If scanning fails, the system offers an Add Manual option.
  • Upon clicking, a pop-up window prompts the user to Enter Barcode.
  • The user can manually input the product barcode and click Add to include the item in the cart.
  • This allows flexibility in scenarios where barcode scanning is not possible, ensuring seamless order processing.

These features streamline product addition to the cart, enhancing both speed and accuracy during transactions.
