Manufacturers

Overview​

The Manufacturers feature in the inventory system is designed to manage the production details of items manufactured by your business or supplied by external manufacturers. It provides an overview of different manufacturers, including details such as the name, description, and the items associated with each manufacturer along with their quantities.

Manufacturers List​

To view the list of all manufacturers:

  1. Navigate to the 'Manufacturers' section on the inventory system sidebar.

  2. The page displays a list with columns for the manufacturer's name, description, associated items, and their quantities.

Adding a New Manufacturer​

To add a new manufacturer:

  1. Click on the 'New Manufacturer' button located at the top right corner of the Manufacturers list page.

  2. You will be directed to a form where you can enter details for the new manufacturer:

    • Name: The name of the manufacturer.
    • Description: A brief description of the manufacturer.
    • Item: The item that the manufacturer will produce or supply.
    • Quantity: The quantity of the item.

Editing a Manufacturer​

To edit manufacturer details:

  1. From the Manufacturers list, click on a manufacturer's name.

  2. You will be taken to the manufacturer's detail page where you can edit the name, description, associated items, and their quantities.

    • Item Components: This section allows you to specify the components that make up the item associated with the manufacturer, along with the required quantities for each component.

Each manufacturer's record should accurately reflect the current details of the items they are associated with. Ensure that all information is up-to-date to maintain an effective inventory management system.
